We have an immediate need for a Quality Assurance Technician to join our Mission Assurance Team. In this role, you will play a key part in the Demonstration of Compliance to Customer Requirements, Control, Accessibility, Safe Storage and Accuracy of all records of the Quality Management System at Raytheon ELCAN Optical Technologies. You will also have the opportunity to collaborate with skilled professionals, leverage advanced technologies, and contribute to the success of Raytheon ELCAN.
What You Will Do:
Perform day-to-day quality assurance activities such as inspections, and recommending corrective actionsEducate and train production team on customer expectations, quality standards and methods of inspectionVerify that tasks are completed following standards set by the company, industry regulators, and government agenciesEvaluate data and draft reports, noting any relevant deviations from the existing standardsDocument the inspection of products at different phases while being manufactured to ensure they meet a set of consistent standardsCommunicate quality or compliance concerns with urgency to managementShare in the commitment towards a positive workplace cultureEmploy best practices and methodology; CORE, statistical & analytical tools & processes to anticipate and prevent quality issuesPrioritize work using analytical and problem-solving skillsEnsuring customer expectations are met or exceeded prior to the release of a productPreparation of quality support documentation as required by customer and our internal management system.Responsible to manage relationships with manufacturing cost centers to determine quality assessment needsWork effectively both independently and as part of a team to prioritize and organize workQualifications You Must Have: (Education and Technical Requirements):
Ontario Secondary School Graduation Diploma or Post-secondary diploma/degree in a mechanical or electrical technology program, or other post high school training with a minimum of 4 years of relevant experience.Must be skilled in reading and interpret blueprints, mechanical, assembly and optical drawingsKnowledge of mechanical, electronic and optical measuring test equipment.Knowledge of LN, Product Center, Excel and Word.Understanding and knowledge of EXIM and JCA requirements.Qualifications We Prefer: (Education and Technical Requirements)
