Senior Materials Testing Technician

Join GEI Consultants as a Senior Materials Testing and Inspection Technician in Barrie, Ontario. You will engage in field and lab testing, ensuring high-quality project outcomes.

In this full-time role, you'll support the materials testing and inspection team across various projects. Your expertise in compaction testing, concrete sampling, and inspections will contribute to our geotechnical, environmental, and hydrogeological engineering services. Collaborate closely with engineers and project managers to uphold quality standards and documentation requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform compaction testing with a nuclear densometer

• Conduct sampling of soils and asphalt for laboratory analysis

• Execute on-site concrete testing and inspections

• Prepare detailed inspection and testing reports

• Maintain testing equipment in good working condition

Requirements:

• College diploma in Civil Engineering or related field

• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience preferred

• Ability to work independently and in teams

• Valid driver's license; vehicle access required

• Strong problem-solving and adaptability skills
