Junior QA​/QC Manager – Global Food Manufacturer

We are seeking a hands-on Junior
QA/QC Manager to lead and continuously improve food safety and quality systems at our brand-new manufacturing facility in Barrie, ON. This role is ideal for a QA professional ready to take ownership of site-level quality programs and step into (or further develop) a leadership position.

• Own and lead HACCP-based food safety and quality programs across the site
• Ensure compliance with GMPs, CFIA/SFCR, and audit standards (e.g., SQF/BRCGS)
• Oversee and support daily QA/QC activities on the production floor to ensure consistent execution
• Lead investigations into non-conformances, deviations, and customer complaints; drive effective CAPA
• Manage audit readiness and support internal and external audits
• Maintain and enhance quality systems, documentation, and SOPs
• Partner cross-functionally (Production, Sanitation, etc.) to resolve issues and drive continuous improvement
• Provide training, coaching, and technical guidance as the QA/QC function expands
• Other duties as assigned
• 3–4+ years of QA/QC experience in food manufacturing environment
• Strong working knowledge of HACCP, GMPs, and food safety standards
• Experience supporting audits (SQF/BRCGS is an asset)
• Solid root cause analysis and problem-solving skills
• Some leadership or supervisory experience (formal or informal) preferred
