In this critical role, WSP seeks an experienced Archaeological Field Director based in Whitby, Burlington, Mississauga, or Ottawa. You will manage field programs, including surveys and excavations, while maintaining high standards. Engaging with Indigenous communities and mentoring your team will be pivotal to your success in this role.
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead archaeological field programming with quality focus
• Motivate teams for effective performance in fieldwork
• Identify Indigenous and Euro-Canadian artifacts on-site
• Develop field technicians and encourage team capabilities
• Contribute to impactful proposals for project successes
Requirements:
• Degree in Archaeology or related field
• Valid Professional Archaeological License required
• Proven experience as a Field Director or in leadership
• Knowledge of Ontario’s archaeological standards
• Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel
