Assistant Manager – Retail
PD Murphy Jewellers is seeking a highly motivated individual with strong sales experience to oversee store performance, customer service, inventory control, and scheduling. The role requires a strong team leader who can drive results and maintain a welcoming environment for clients.
Responsibilities- Manage day‑to‑day store performance and ensure high standards of customer service.
- Control inventory levels, process stock adjustments, and coordinate stock takes.
- Create and maintain staff schedules, ensuring adequate coverage for all shifts.
- Lead and motivate the team, fostering a collaborative and positive workplace.
- Analyze sales trends and provide insights to improve profitability.
- Perform other duties as assigned to support store operations.
- Secondary school education (preferred).
- Minimum 1 year of retail management experience (preferred).
- Strong sales record and excellent communication skills.
- Proficiency in computer use and inventory systems.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
- Location:
Barrie, ON L4N 9P7 (in‑person). - Job type:
Full‑time. - Wage: $20.00–$22.00 per hour, commensurate with experience.
