Campus Security Guard

Position: Campus Security Guard at Lakehead University
Ensure campus safety as a Campus Security Guard at Lakehead University. You'll patrol the grounds, respond to emergencies, and provide support to students and staff around the clock.

Reporting to the Director of Security Services, you will focus on preventing theft, vandalism, and other breaches of security. This role requires a Law and Security Administration diploma or equivalent experience and offers varied shifts. Engage with visitors, guide students, and maintain order across the university's facilities. Your attention to detail in reporting incidents and proactive response to emergencies will contribute greatly to campus safety.

Key Responsibilities:

• Patrol campus to prevent theft and vandalism

• Respond promptly to emergencies and medical calls

• Control parking and enforce university policies

• Assist with access to restricted areas

• Compile detailed reports for security incidents

Requirements:

• Law and Security Administration diploma or equivalent

• Valid Ontario Private Security License required

• Proficiency in PC use and reporting systems

• Excellent communication and customer service skills

• Valid class G driver's license and clean driving record
