Associate Security Guard

Position: Associate Security Guard Role at Lakehead University
Become a vital part of Lakehead University's security team as an Associate Security Guard.

Your role will involve monitoring the campus, managing parking, and assisting in emergencies.

Under the direction of the Director of Security Services, you will perform essential duties to maintain campus safety. Candidates with a diploma in law and security or related field are encouraged to apply. This role involves both day and night shifts as needed. By patrolling the campus and responding to various situations, you will play a key role in ensuring order, guiding visitors, and supporting university personnel.

Key Responsibilities:

• Patrol and monitor university grounds regularly

• Respond to inquiries and assist with emergencies

• Enforce parking regulations and perform inspections

• Provide directions and assistance to visitors

• Complete timely security reports and documentation

Requirements:

• Diploma in Law and Security or equivalent

• Must have valid Ontario Private Security License

• Computer proficiency for report submission

• Strong written and verbal communication skills

• Willingness to work rotating shifts and handle security duties
