Lead frontline correctional operations at Central North Correctional Centre using sound judgment, crisis management, and strong supervisory skills. This fully onsite position operates 24/7.
As Staff Sergeant, you oversee a maximum security institution, supervise Corporals and Correctional Officers, and maintain safety, security, and functionality. You provide direction in a unionized setting, manage staffing and deployment, and make timely decisions during incidents. You also support investigations, accountability, and policy compliance across complex institutional operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Supervise Corporals and Correctional Officers across daily operations
Manage incidents, emergencies, and high risk situations
Oversee staffing, deployment, resources, and institutional programs
Lead investigations and determine resolutions for sensitive issues
Represent the institution in court and tribunal proceedings
Requirements:
Strong leadership experience in high accountability environments
Advanced oral and written French proficiency
First Aid, CPR, and Use of Force certification
Experience managing secure or high consequence operations
Ability to remain decisive during operational stress
Bring correctional leadership, investigative judgment, and crisis management skills to Central North Correctional Centre's essential onsite operations.
