Join Georgian College as an Employment Services Consultant in Barrie. This contract position provides essential career support, focusing on youth and community clients to boost employment opportunities.
In this dynamic role, you will engage with jobseekers to assess their needs and connect them with community resources. You will develop job action plans and liaise with employers to create pathways for effective job placements. Your experience in community-based employment services will be vital in enhancing local labor market knowledge and client outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct formal and informal assessments of job seekers
• Provide referrals to relevant community resources
• Collaborate with employers for on-the-job training opportunities
• Develop and monitor placements to ensure client success
• Maintain accurate records of client service outcomes
Requirements:
• Completed two-year diploma in related field
• At least five years of experience in employment services
• Strong computer skills, including database management
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment
• Experience with job market trend analysis is beneficial
