Part Time Housing Specialist at Empower Simcoe

Join Empower Simcoe as a Part Time Housing Specialist and make an impact in housing accessibility. Build valuable relationships with landlords to support the Housing First initiative across Simcoe County.

In this role, you will collaborate with property owners and managers to secure rental units for Housing First participants. This position requires a strong understanding of housing trends and excellent communication skills to effectively maintain landlord relationships. You will work part time for up to 18.75 hours per week, focusing on innovative solutions to reduce chronic homelessness.

Key Responsibilities:

• Engage landlords in Housing First initiatives

• Facilitate relationships with local property owners

• Identify service gaps with housing teams

• Organize workshops for landlord engagement

• Maintain an updated landlord registry

Requirements:

• Degree/Diploma in Business or Social Services

• 2+ years' experience in housing or social services

• Knowledge of Housing First principles

• Strong communication and organizational skills

• Valid Class G driver’s license and reliable transportation
