Indigenous Mobile Crisis Response Case Manager

Join B’saanibamaadsiwin as an Indigenous Mobile Crisis Response Case Manager in Parry Sound on a contract basis. This role focuses on culturally safe, trauma-informed response to mental health and addictions crises.

This position, part of the Mobile Crisis Response Team, provides critical support for individuals and families facing mental health issues, emotional distress, and substance use challenges. You will work closely with the Ontario Provincial Police to ensure a non-policing, health-centered response while addressing community needs. Your expertise in crisis intervention, assessment, and referrals will significantly impact those in the region.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide mobile crisis response in collaboration with OPP

• Conduct trauma-informed assessments and safety planning

• Support diversion from unnecessary hospital interventions

• Respond to emergencies for crisis assessments and support

• Establish relations with Indigenous communities and services

Requirements:

• Degree in social work, psychology, or related field

• Experience in crisis intervention and community outreach

• Knowledge of Indigenous history and health realities

• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to remain calm

• Valid Ontario driver’s license and reliable transportation
