Indigenous Mobile Support Worker Position

Under BANAC's guidance, this role is dedicated to the regional support of Indigenous elders and their families. As a Senior Mobile Support Worker, you will collaborate effectively with the Aging Well Team and external partners to ensure comprehensive service delivery that aligns with Indigenous governance. Your commitment will focus on upholding cultural safety and self-determination within the community.
Key Responsibilities:
• Connect clients with Indigenous services and resources
• Maintain effective collaborations for service delivery
• Offer advocacy and informative support to clients
• Arrange transportation for clients to appointments
• Respond effectively to community needs for the Aging program
Requirements:
• Degree or diploma in Social Services, Indigenous Studies
• Minimum five years related experience in outreach
• Valid driver's license including a current abstract
• Familiarity with Lone Worker Safety App and EMR systems
• Advanced skills in Microsoft 365 tools
Engage in transformative outreach efforts while prioritizing Indigenous values and community wellness.
