Position: Wasauksing Shelter Social Navigator Needed
Become a key player at Wasauksing First Nation as a Social Navigator & Intake Worker during night shifts. Provide important support services to Indigenous individuals and families seeking shelter.

Your role as a Social Navigator includes welcoming guests and performing intake procedures while delivering compassionate crisis counseling. You will assess client needs and connect them to appropriate resources, all while ensuring a respectful and secure environment. Collaboration with team members is essential for effective service delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

• Welcome guests and manage shelter intake processes

• Conduct client interviews to evaluate needs

• Provide safety and crisis counseling

• Maintain confidentiality of sensitive client data

• Support ongoing service connections with local resources

Requirements:

• Degree in social work or similar field

• Experience in social service delivery (2-3 years)

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

• Competence with Microsoft 365 tools

• Current vulnerable sector check required
