Contribute to the positive outcomes for youth at Kinark Child and Family Services as a Child and Youth Worker in Barrie, Ontario. Work within our Day Treatment program to support children with complex needs and foster their development.
In this relief position from September to July, you will provide primary care to youth clients, support behavior management, and engage in treatment planning alongside interdisciplinary teams.
Your role will be vital in implementing evidence-based therapies within an educational environment, ensuring clients receive holistic support.
Key Responsibilities:
• Manage client behavior and implement treatment strategies
• Provide observation and assessment for treatment needs
• Document individual progress effectively
• Collaborate on client support with clinical teams
• Assist in achieving clients' academic and personal goals
Requirements:
• Minimum one year of experience in Mental Health required
• Valid Child and Youth Worker Diploma needed
• First Aid/CPR Level C certification required
• Training in Aggressive Behaviour Management preferred
• Must have valid Ontario driver's license and vehicle access
