Elevate community life as a full-time Community Participation Support Worker with Empower Simcoe. Leverage your skills to support individuals’ integration into community activities.
In a six-month contract, you will utilize a personalized approach to foster engagement in recreational, leisure, and volunteer placements.
Your role will include participating in goal planning and connecting individuals with necessary community resources for optimal support.
Key Responsibilities:
• Facilitate participation in community-based activities
• Involve in individual support planning and resource identification
• Provide personal support aligned with individual goals
• Act as a role model in the community
• Comply with safety measures and maintain confidentiality
Requirements:
• Degree or diploma in developmental services or similar
• One year experience in community support settings
• Valid First Aid, CPR, and NVCI certifications
• Strong interpersonal and computer skills
• Current driver’s license and dependable transportation
