Software Engineer I, Android (Hybrid - 1 to 3 days onsite per week in Irvine, CA)

Overview

Weedmaps is looking for highly motivated and experienced Android Engineers to grow our Mobile team. Over the last several years we've seen a correlation in the proliferation of cannabis and mobile device usage in a way that has made mobile development the future and focal point of our end user experiences.

We are looking for mobile engineers who are passionate about growing technology ecosystem for our industry as well as their careers.

• Maintain and strengthen our Android Platform capabilities
• Contribute to and mature our platform architecture.
• Collaborate and contribute in agile ceremonies
• Learn from peers and senior engineers through avid pair programming
• Define and write actionable user stories.
• Communicate progress towards releases with stakeholders
• Keep well organized and articulated documentation
• Remain current on industry changes, and keep us at the forefront of technological trends
• Continuously strengthen their own subject matter expertise through online and local courses.

What you've accomplished:

• BA or BS preferred
• A minimum of 2 years with Android (Kotlin)
• Strong understanding of Git Flow

Bonus Points

• Experience with CI Pipelines
• Experience with Android Test Automation Frameworks (Espresso, UI Automater)
