Monday–Friday | 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM

About the Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Dispatcher to join our growing transportation team in Alliston, ON. This is a full-time, on-site role responsible for coordinating an in-house fleet of approximately 30 trucks, ensuring efficient load planning, on-time delivery, and exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities

• Dispatch and coordinate an in-house fleet of ~30 trucks

• Plan, schedule, assign, and monitor loads to meet customer requirements

• Utilize Trans Plus (Trans+) and Loadlink to source, post, track, and manage freight

• Communicate daily with drivers regarding schedules, routes, and delays

• Monitor shipment progress and proactively resolve service issues

• Coordinate with brokers, shippers, receivers, and customers

• Prepare and process transportation documentation (BOLs, rate confirmations, delivery paperwork)

• Support cross-border shipments and coordinate customs documentation

• Ensure compliance with transportation regulations and company policies

• Track driver hours of service, availability, and equipment scheduling

• Collaborate with maintenance and operations regarding equipment readiness

• Maintain accurate load and shipment records within internal systems

• Contribute to process improvements and operational efficiency

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of dispatch experience in trucking, transportation, or logistics

• Strong hands-on experience with Trans Plus (Trans+) and Loadlink (required)

• Solid understanding of freight coordination, routing, and fleet management

• Experience with cross-border shipments and customs procedures (preferred)

• Knowledge of transportation documentation including BOLs and rate confirmations

• Strong problem-solving skills in time-sensitive environments

• Excellent communication skills with drivers, customers, and partners

• High attention to detail and strong organizational skills

• Ability to manage multiple priorities effectively

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and transportation systems
