Position: Public Works Equipment Operator Role
Location: Midhurst

Join the Township of Springwater as a full-time Equipment Operator / Labourer. Operate essential public works machinery while maintaining critical infrastructure in a growing municipality.

This position, reporting to the Roads Supervisor, offers a dynamic work environment focused on the safe operation of various heavy equipment. You will utilize your two to five years of experience to manage vehicles, perform safety inspections, and support daily labor tasks such as drainage repairs and pothole patching. The ideal candidate is proactive, safety-oriented, and able to adapt to different assignments.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate vehicles and heavy equipment for public works

• Maintain precise logs of maintenance and equipment use

• Conduct manual labor for construction projects

• Ensure compliance with safety and operational standards

• Perform vehicle and equipment inspections regularly

Requirements:

• Completion of Secondary School Diploma

• 2-5 years of equipment operation experience

• Valid Ontario Class D license; AZ preferred

• Familiarity with Occupational Health and Safety Act

• Flexibility for extended hours and on-call work
