What you’ll be doing
You will be a welcomed member of the team, working in a fast-paced environment where you will make a meaningful difference in residents’ lives. As a Bus Driver , you will support residents’ health, independence, and well-being by providing safe, reliable, and courteous transportation. By ensuring timely arrivals and a comfortable, secure journey, you help create positive experiences every day. As an individual and part of a wider team, you will be a strong contributor to the culture of the home, where the focus is always on helping residents live fully, every day.
What makes you a great fit
Transporting residents to scheduled activities and assists residents when they are getting on or off the bus and when they cross the street when the bus is stopped to ensure their safety
Observing the speed limit and road signs
Ensuring the maintenance of the bus such as filling the gas tank and windshield washer fluid, checking tire pressure, checking the oil and the cleanliness of the bus
Maintaining the internal cleanliness of the bus
Carrying out, if needed, all related tasks in order to ensure the continuity and the quality of the services.
Performing other duties as assigned
What you need to know
High School Diploma or equivalent
Appropriate provincial driving permit for a bus
Clean Drivers Abstract
1-2 years of experience as a driver
Must have effective verbal and written English communication skills
Experience in customer service
You must be legally eligible to work in Canada or have a valid work/study permit
You must successfully pass a Vulnerable Sector Check and Criminal Records Check
