Join the City of Barrie as a Roads Lead Operator in a permanent full-time position. This role requires leadership in managing heavy equipment and municipal infrastructure maintenance. Ideal candidates will have strong skills in team leadership, public sector operations, and compliance monitoring efforts.
Key Responsibilities:
• Operate and maintain municipal stormwater and road infrastructure
• Lead crews in daily operations and maintenance tasks
• Monitor compliance with relevant legislation
• Implement safety protocols at construction sites
• Evaluate performance data for infrastructure improvement
Requirements:
• One year College Certificate in Skilled Trades or equivalent
• Four years experience in municipal infrastructure operations
• Experience leading crews for at least two years
• Valid Ontario Class “D” Driver’s Licence with “Z” endorsement
• Demonstrated knowledge of heavy equipment operations
