Join the County of Simcoe as a Truck Driver and Labourer in Beeton, ON.
Your role will involve driving trucks for winter maintenance and handling various summer tasks.
Reporting to the Roads Foreman, this position requires a valid DZ license and involves diverse duties such as snow plowing, equipment operating, and road maintenance. Responsibilities also include operating tractors, performing minor vehicle repairs, and completing maintenance records. Strong communication and decision-making skills are essential as you'll work both independently and as part of a team.
Key Responsibilities:
• Operate trucks for snow plowing and summer maintenance
• Assist in roadside and platform maintenance tasks
• Drive vehicles from utility trucks to dump trucks
• Complete documentation for equipment and work orders
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations
Requirements:
• Minimum Grade 12 education required
• Valid DZ license; AZ preferred
• Related experience in truck driving and road maintenance
• Reliable transportation to primary work location
• Criminal records check within six months
