DZ Driver for Residential Recycling

Drive a Manual Side-Load or Rear Pack recycling truck with GFL in Ontario. This role emphasizes safety, efficiency, and customer service in residential waste collection.

As a DZ Driver with GFL, you will operate collection vehicles and ensure adherence to route and safety standards. The position requires performing inspections, managing hydraulic systems, and maintaining a high level of service quality. Additionally, you will work closely with Helpers and Supervisors for optimal operations while adhering to safety policies.

Key Responsibilities:

• Safely operate Manual Side-Load or Rear Pack recycling collection truck

• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections daily

• Collect recycling and waste according to route standards

• Maintain compliance with safety policies and PPE requirements

• Report mechanical issues or safety concerns immediately

Requirements:

• Valid Ontario DZ driver’s licence with clean Abstract and CVOR

• Minimum 1 year of commercial driving experience

• Ability to operate collection vehicles and hydraulic equipment

• Flexible availability for overtime and early starts

• Reliable attendance in a safety-sensitive role
