The Town of Midland invites applications for a casual Transit Driver position. This job requires a valid Ontario class B/C or F driver’s license with Z endorsement and two to three years of commercial driving experience. You will interact directly with the public and carry out daily inspections while adhering to traffic and safety legislation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Safely operate transit vehicles on designated routes

• Collect fares and issue valid transfers to passengers

• Report incidents and document any irregularities

• Perform daily inspections of vehicles for safety

• Assist with reporting route blockages and traffic issues

Requirements:

• Valid Ontario class B/C or F driver’s license with Z endorsement

• 2-3 years of commercial driving experience

• Strong conflict-resolution and problem-solving skills

• Ability to work flexible shifts in all weather

• Excellent communication skills
