Position Summary

Title:

Shipper/ Receiver

Reports To:

Team Leader - Logistics

Hours of work: 3:30 p.m. to 12:00 a.m. Monday to Friday

Location:

2621 Gore Rd, Oro-Medonte

Job Purpose:

Using RF scanners, pick, pack and prepare stock or product for shipping. Receive parts or product and transport to correct storage location.

Key Responsibilities

Operate RF hand scanners to pick, sort and stack product on pallets efficiently.

Prepare product for shipping; packing, strapping, shrink wrap.

Use TMS to select courier.

Shadow peers for day-to-day position workings.

Troubleshoot and identify cycle counts and inventory discrepancies; verify shipment contents against records.

Learn proper truck loading; packaging, labeling, and protection.

Deal with damaged product.

Generate packing slips from WMS.

Train temporary laborers on wrapping, strapping, quality control, and reworks.

Unload trucks; move products by hand or equipment.

Perform item counts and verify against packing slips.

Place items in designated location using WMS.

Use RF scanners to manage products and ensure documentation accuracy.

Inspect incoming trucks for damage per guidelines.

Identify parts not set up in system properly.

Education and Experience

High School Diploma or equivalent required.

Minimum 1-2 years experience in shipping and receiving, preferably in warehouse or manufacturing.

Forklift certification and internal training program; TDG certification may be required.

Familiarity with inventory management systems and basic computer skills.
