Job Title  Shipper/ Receiver
Reporting To  Team Leader – Logistics
Hours of Work  3:30 p.m. to 12:00 a.m., Monday to Friday
Location  2621 Gore Rd, Oro-Medonte
Job Purpose  Using RF scanners, pick, pack and prepare stock or product for shipping. Receive parts or product and transport to correct storage location.

Key Responsibilities   Operate RF hand scanners to pick, sort and stack product on pallets efficiently for packing and shipping of orders.
Prepare product for shipment by packing and strapping (shrink wrap, etc.).
Use TMS (computer software used to select courier).
Participate in job shadowing with peers to learn day‑to‑day position work.
Troubleshoot and identify cycle counts and inventory discrepancies by examining shipment contents and verifying against manifests, invoices or orders.
Learn how to properly load trucks—packing, packaging and labeling containers or parts to identify their destination and ensure protection during shipment.
Handle damaged product.
Generate packing slips from WMS (size, weight, carrier, etc.).
Train temporary general laborers on wrapping, strapping, quality control, reworks, etc.
Unload trucks—load, unload, stack and move products and materials by hand or using material handling equipment.
Perform item counts—verify counts based on packing slips.
Use WMS to determine proper storage location and store received product in designated areas.
Manage products using RF scanners.
Learn to receive in system under supervision of the Team Leader and ensure documentation is processed and distributed timely.
Inspect all incoming trucks for damaged product per company guidelines.
Identify parts that are not set up properly in system.

Education and Experience   High School Diploma or equivalent required.
1–2 years of experience in a shipping and receiving role, preferably in a warehouse or manufacturing environment.
Experience operating forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment.
Knowledge of shipping/receiving documentation including bills of lading, packing slips, and customs paperwork.
Existing forklift certification and ability to pass internal training & testing program.
Additional training or certification in logistics, transportation, or supply chain is an asset.
Transportation of Dangerous Goods (TDG) certification may be required.
Familiarity with inventory management systems and basic computer skills (Microsoft Office, ERP software, RF scanners).
