Distribution Manager

Ice River Sustainable Solutions is seeking an experienced Distribution Manager for our Dundalk facility. Reporting directly to the Vice President, Operations, this role is responsible for the overall leadership, performance, and day‑to‑day operation of the facility, ensuring products move safely, accurately, and efficiently while fostering a culture of accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement.

As the senior leader on site, you’ll oversee warehouse operations, shipping, receiving, inventory, import/export coordination, safety, and employee development while partnering closely with Logistics, Planning, Customer Service, Finance, Human Resources, and Operations leadership.

What You’ll Do
  • Lead all day‑to‑day distribution centre operations, including shipping, receiving, inventory, warehousing, and material flow.
  • Coach, mentor, and develop supervisors, team leads, and warehouse employees.
  • Drive operational excellence through strong KPI management, labour planning, inventory accuracy, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Ensure products are received, stored, and shipped safely, accurately, and on time.
  • Oversee inventory control, cycle counts, reconciliations, and physical inventories.
  • Manage import/export activities while ensuring compliance with transportation and customs requirements.
  • Foster a strong culture of safety, accountability, communication, and employee engagement.
  • Manage operating costs, support budgeting activities, and identify opportunities to improve productivity and reduce waste.
  • Partner with cross‑functional teams to ensure exceptional customer service and operational performance.
What We’re Looking For
  • 5‑7+ years of progressive leadership experience in warehouse, distribution, logistics, supply chain, or operations.
  • Previous experience managing a warehouse or distribution centre is required.
  • Strong knowledge of inventory management, shipping, receiving, warehousing, and distribution operations.
  • Experience leading supervisors and hourly employees in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Experience working with ERP, warehouse management, or inventory management systems.
  • Strong understanding of KPIs, labour planning, budgeting, and continuous improvement.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, coaching, and problem‑solving skills.
  • A hands‑on leader who enjoys being visible on the warehouse floor and building high‑performing teams.
