Civil Engineering contractor is looking to appoint an experienced Civils Site Manager to deliver a £2.5m groundworks project in Barrow-in-Furness. This is a permanent position with an immediate start for the right candidate.

You will take full responsibility for the day-to-day management of site operations, ensuring the project is delivered safely, on programme, within budget, and to the required quality standards.

• Managing site activities from start to completion
• Coordinating groundworks, drainage, and associated civils packages
• Managing subcontractors, plant, and direct labour
• Ensuring compliance with H&S, RAMS, and site procedures
• Liaising with clients, engineers, and internal teams
• Monitoring progress against programme and reporting to senior management
• Maintaining quality control and site documentation

• Proven experience as a Site Manager on civils / groundworks projects
• SMSTS (essential)
• First Aid at Work
• Strong knowledge of groundworks, drainage, and civils packages
• Ability to run projects independently
• Good communication and leadership skills
