About the Role

Spirit Energy is looking for an experienced HSE Advisor – Onshore to join its HSE team based in Barrow-in-Furness.

The successful candidate will provide Health, Safety and Environmental support and advice across the organisation, helping to maintain high standards of HSE performance and ensuring compliance with relevant legislation, policies and procedures.

The role is expected to start as soon as possible and will support Spirit Energy's new organisational structure, which is due to go live from 1 October 2026.

The contract duration is expected to be two years, aligning with the planned cessation of production of the Morecambe Hub.

Working Arrangements

Spirit Energy currently operates a non-contractual hybrid working arrangement for office-based workers.

* A minimum of 4 days per week must be worked from the office.

* Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday are compulsory office days.

* The fourth office day can be either Monday or Friday, depending on the individual's preference and what is most efficient and effective for the team.

* The office is open 5 days per week for those who prefer to work fully office-based.

Key Requirements

The ideal candidate will have:

* Proven experience working in an HSE / Health and Safety Advisor role.

* Strong knowledge of UK Health, Safety and Environmental legislation and regulations.

* Experience providing practical HSE advice and guidance within an operational environment.

* Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.

* The ability to work effectively with teams at all levels of an organisation.

* A proactive approach to identifying risks and supporting continuous improvement.

* Relevant HSE qualifications and professional experience.
