Senior Process Engineer
Location:
Barrow in Furness
Land & Sea Resources are currently recruiting for an experienced Senior Process Engineer to support operations at the Morecambe Hub in Barrow-in-Furness.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced process engineering professional with a strong background in the oil and gas industry to provide high-quality technical support across process systems and equipment, helping to ensure safe, reliable and efficient asset performance.
The successful candidate will provide process engineering expertise across the Morecambe Hub, supporting operational performance, troubleshooting and optimisation. You will identify opportunities to improve efficiency, throughput, energy consumption and production reliability, while providing technical input into maintenance, asset integrity and improvement activities.
The role will involve investigating process and equipment issues, undertaking root cause analysis and implementing effective corrective actions. You will also provide technical input to capital projects and modifications, including specifications, design reviews and commissioning activities.
You will be responsible for reviewing and approving process work scopes, job packs and method statements, as well as providing technical oversight of contractors and vendors to ensure work is delivered safely, to the required quality and in accordance with technical and contractual requirements.
The position will also provide support during turnaround, commissioning and start-up activities, together with involvement in safety studies and risk assessments including HAZOP, HAZID and LOPA. You will contribute to management of change activities by assessing the technical and operational impact of proposed changes.
A key aspect of the role will be maintaining robust technical documentation, including drawings, datasheets, calculations and operating and maintenance procedures. You will also act as a Lead Investigator using Kelvin Top Set investigation techniques to support business requirements and continuous improvement.
We are looking for an experienced process engineer with proven experience within onshore and offshore oil and gas operations, maintenance and asset integrity. You will have strong knowledge of process equipment and systems used within oil and gas production facilities, ideally including compression, dehydration, nitrogen removal, sweetening and condensate stabilisation.
You will have a good understanding of offshore safety cases and permit-to-work systems, together with knowledge of relevant industry standards including API, ASME, ISO and, where applicable, DNV.
Ideally, you will be educated to degree level, preferably with an MEng in Chemical Engineering, and Chartered Engineer status would be advantageous.
This role would suit a technically strong and experienced process engineer who is confident working across operations, engineering, maintenance, contractors and other stakeholders, with a strong focus on safety, reliability and continuous improvement
