Our client, an Oil and Gas Operator is seeking 2 Senior Process Engineers. These are 2 year PAYE contract roles based at Barrow-in-Furness.
Job Overview- Provides high-quality process engineering support ensuring the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of process systems and equipment.
- Provide process engineering support to ensure the safe, reliable, and efficient operation process systems.
- Monitor and optimise process performance, identifying opportunities to improve efficiency, throughput, energy use, and production reliability.
- Support asset operations by troubleshooting equipment issues, performing root cause analysis, and implementing corrective actions.
- Ensure compliance with applicable codes, standards, and regulations (ASME, API, ISO, local regulations, company standards).
- Support inspection, testing, and condition monitoring programs to maintain asset integrity and extend equipment life.
- Provide technical input to capital projects and modifications, including specifications, design reviews, and commissioning activities.
- Review and approve process work scopes, job packs, and method statements for execution.
- Oversee contractors and vendors, ensuring quality, safety, and adherence to technical and contractual requirements.
- Support turn around, commissioning, and start-up activities as required
- Participate in safety studies and risk assessments (HAZOP, HAZIDs, LOPA) and implement safeguards and improvements.
- Support change management processes by assessing impacts of operational or design changes.
- Prepare and maintain technical documentation, including drawings, datasheets, calculations, and operating/maintenance procedures.
- Act as a Lead investigator using Kelvin Top Set investigation techniques to support business requirements.
- Any other associated duties as reasonably required.
- Proven experience with onshore and offshore oil and gas operations, maintenance, and asset integrity practices.
- Strong knowledge of process equipment used in oil and gas production facilities, including compression, dehydration, nitrogen removal, sweetening and condensate stabilisation.
- Offshore safety case and permit-to-work systems
- Industry standards (API, ASME, ISO, DNV where applicable)
Educated to degree level, ideally MEng in Chemical Engineering
