Site Assistant (Full time SCP5)

Are you looking for a hands-on role where you can make a real difference in a school community? We are looking to recruit a proactive, reliable, and flexible Site Assistant to help keep our site safe, welcoming, and well maintained for our pupils, staff, and visitors.

About the Role:

As a Site Assistant, you’ll work as part of our dedicated site team, supporting the upkeep, security, and day-to-day running of our school buildings and grounds. Reporting to the Site Co-ordinator, you’ll undertake a wide range of tasks including minor repairs requiring use of basic power tools, site safety checks, porterage, and ensuring the premises are always clean and secure.

This position would be suitable for candidates with previous experience of property maintenance or as the first step on the ladder for somebody looking to start a career in Estate Management. A full training programme will be provided.

Key Responsibilities include:
  • General site maintenance and cleaning
  • Minor repairs and decorating
  • Security duties including key holding
  • Setting up rooms for school events
  • Supporting deliveries and waste management
  • Routine health and safety checks
  • Assisting with contractor and supplier liaison
  • Basic Administration to update maintenance and health and safety records.
In return we can offer you:
  • A generous holiday allowance and access to the Local Government Pension Scheme.
  • A professional, enthusiastic and supportive team of staff with the capacity and commitment to raise student achievement.
  • A well-resourced school with good results.
  • A strong commitment to developing staff and creating the leaders of tomorrow.
  • A key role in supporting the education and wellbeing of our students
  • Supportive parents, Governors, Diocese and Trust.

The school reserves the right to close this vacancy earlier than the advertised closing date should a suitable candidate be found, therefore we would encourage applicants to apply early.
