Sheet Metal Worker

Morson are looking to recruit sheet metal workers for our client in Barrow. These are a 12‑month contract with the likelihood of extension.

Barrow in Furness

No less than 37 hours worked per week.

33 days holiday inclusive of bank holidays.

Overtime available but not guaranteed.

• Fabricate, assemble, and install sheet metal items, including the use of welding and fabrication equipment on the Astute and/or Dreadnought class submarines whilst under construction.

Experience of submarine/shipbuilding construction would be an advantage. Any industrial experience is beneficial.

Apprenticeship in Sheet Metal Work. Industrial experience is key.

• 3 on 4 off – Local: £23.28 PAYE | Non‑local: £31.28 PAYE (Umbrella rates also available).
• Nights – Local: £25.80 PAYE | Non‑local: £33.80 PAYE (Umbrella rates also available).

You will need to live 40 miles or more to be classed as a non‑local.

These are immediate starts subject to gaining full security clearance.
