PE Global is currently recruiting for 2 Machinist positions for a leading multi-national oilfield services company and a leader in digital solutions for subsurface and surface engineering, based in Barrow-in-Furness.

This is an initial 12 months contract position working on site in Barrow-in-Furness.

• Set up, operate and maintain machines in a safe and efficient manner
• Monitor output during operation and make adjustments as needed
• Follow production schedules and ensure the timely completion of tasks
• Inspect finished products for quality and accuracy
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues with machines as they arise
• Maintain accurate records of production data and machine maintenance
• Follow safety protocols to minimize workplace accidents and injuries
• Collaborate with team members to improve production processes and outcomes
• Participate in daily shop floor meetings to ensure timely communication of production issues and monitor completion of targets

• Previous experience of machine shop operations
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
• Recognised mechanical engineering qualification or equivalent
• Previous experience of basic CNC programming
