Barrow-in-Furness Working Arrangements: 4 days per week on-site Hourly Rate: £48.32 PAYE or £65.19 Umbrella Duration: 12 months
About The Role:
The role of the Quality Engineer is to provide specialist guidance and support to the Quality Function whilst ensuring that the Business Unit remains compliant to the local Quality Business Management System You will manage your own tasks, delivering results, anticipating and escalating problem areas You will conduct specialist Quality activities in accordance with relevant processes and procedures Subject Matter Expert (SME) in your own specialist area, leading improvement initiatives across the across the Business Unit to drive Quality performance
- Undertake specialist non-routine and or complex Quality Assurance activities and tasks
- Able to access, have a clear understanding of and develop the local Management System documentation e.g. policies, procedures, workmanship standards, risk assessments and processes
- Ensure cross functional processes are deployed and adhered to
- Lead/support internal audits and supplier audits
- Lead the management of non-conformance resolution and corrective actions with key stakeholders and process owners
- Understanding and application of ISO 9001/ EN9100 standards
- Subject Matter Expert (SME) own discipline within Quality and a broad understanding of other Quality related disciplines
- Knowledge of and experience of product safety
