Working Hours:
37 Hours per week (Standard BAE) Working Arrangements: 4 Days per week onsite (Potentially Flexible) Hourly Rate: £35 PAYE or £47.12 Umbrella BAE Systems is recruiting for a Principal Quality Inspector to join its team in Barrow-in-Furness. This role will support the delivery of quality inspections across complex engineering programmes, ensuring products meet required standards and specifications throughout the build process.
Key Responsibilities Carry out quality inspections and assurance activities Verify and manage non-conformances Support quality investigations and continuous improvement initiatives Use measuring equipment to assess product compliance Review and report inspection findings Work closely with engineering, manufacturing and quality teams Support the development of quality processes and best practices Provide guidance and support to colleagues within the Quality function About You
Experience with in a Quality Inspection or Quality Assurance environment Understanding of ISO 9001 and/or EN9100 standards Ability to interpret engineering drawings, specifications and procedures Strong problem-solving and communication skills
Experience with in manufacturing, engineering, marine, defence or heavy industry environments would be advantageous NC/HNC in a relevant technical discipline, or equivalent experience Time-served trade background desirable Why BAE Systems?
