Based in Barrow-in-Furness, this permanent Production Quality Inspector post supports quality control within a manufacturing setting. Duties include inspecting parts, materials and assemblies against specifications, performing engineering tests, and recording results. The successful candidate will help maintain measurement equipment, assist with test setup and basic fixture design, and ensure all activities comply with safety requirements. Applicants need prior experience in inspection or production, knowledge of quality control processes and non-conformance handling, plus the ability to interpret technical drawings.
This full-time role offers a salary of £38,000 to £42,000 per annum, with scope to contribute to continuous improvement work across the site., We are seeking a Production Quality Inspector to support quality control activities within a manufacturing environment. This role involves inspecting components, conducting tests, and ensuring products meet required specifications and quality standards.
- Inspect parts, materials, and assemblies against specifications
- Carry out manufacturing and engineering tests
- Record and report inspection and test results
- Support calibration of measurement equipment (when authorised)
- Assist with test setup and basic fixture design
- Ensure all quality and testing activities are carried out safely
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives
- Experience in quality inspection or manufacturing
- Understanding of quality control processes and non-conformance
- Ability to read and follow technical procedures
