We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Registered Paediatric Nurse to join our Complex Care team, supporting children and young people with complex healthcare needs in their homes and local communities.
This rewarding role offers the opportunity to deliver high‑quality, child‑centred care while supporting families to ensure children can live safely and comfortably at home.
About the RoleAs a Community Complex Care Paediatric Nurse, you will be responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating care for children and young people with a range of complex medical conditions. You will work closely with families, carers, support workers, schools, and multidisciplinary teams to provide safe and effective care tailored to each child's needs.
In this role, you will be supporting our paediatric male client within his family home who is living with several complex care needs. As a member of the team you will be providing personal care, administering medications and managing our clients clinical interventions (listed below).
Skills/Interventions- Use of infusion pump
- TPN
- Care and Use of PEG‑J (dual port)
- Maintain personalised care plans and risk assessments.
- Deliver and oversee complex clinical interventions.
- Monitor and evaluate care outcomes, escalating concerns where appropriate.
- Build positive relationships with children, families, and healthcare professionals.
- Maintain accurate clinical records and documentation.
- Participate in quality assurance, clinical governance, and safeguarding processes.
- Registered Children's Nurse (RSCN/RN Child) with a valid PIN.
- Current registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC).
- Experience caring for children with complex healthcare needs.
- Strong clinical assessment and decision‑making skills.
- Excellent communication and family‑centred care approach.
- Knowledge of safeguarding children and young people.
