AboutThe Role
The Vale of Glamorgan Council is seeking a motivated and organised Your Choice Officer to support the operation and development of Your Choice within Social Services.
In this role, you will- Provide administrative and coordination support for the scheme.
- Maintain accurate records and spreadsheets, including provider information and financial reconciliation.
- Act as a point of contact for care providers and internal colleagues, dealing with routine enquiries and escalating complex issues where needed.
- Support the implementation of the Your Choice model by assisting providers and sharing guidance and best practice.
- Liaise with care managers and social care professionals to support understanding and consistent use of the scheme.
- Assist with meetings, communications, and monitoring activity.
- Support the promotion of Your Choice through information sharing and basic communications.

- Is self‑motivated and able to work efficiently without direct supervision, including when working in a hybrid environment.
- Has experience of working in social care.
- Is interested in person‑centred approaches.
- Is willing to undertake training.
Experience in administration, customer service, local government or social care is desirable, but full training will be provided.
