As an Executive Search Consultant, you’ll be responsible for developing new client relationships, managing retained search projects, and delivering exceptional candidate and client experiences. You’ll work closely with CJPI’s research associates, leadership assessment professionals, and directors to ensure every search is thorough, strategic, and aligned with client goals.

  • Conduct in-depth consultations to define search scopes and success criteria
  • Prepare and follow up on client proposals and candidate briefs
  • Lead search projects from initiation to placement, supported by internal teams
  • Guide researchers to develop comprehensive talent maps and search strategies
  • Provide timely, professional communication to candidates and clients
  • Deliver regular project updates and maintain high-touch engagement
  • Act as a trusted advisor to clients and C-suite stakeholders
  • Contribute to CJPI’s growth by exceeding expectations and promoting additional services

To thrive in this role, you should have:

  • Experience in retained executive search or senior-level recruitment
  • Proven ability to manage and advise C-suite clients
  • Strong commercial acumen and consultative communication style
  • Demonstrated success in business development and client retention
  • Self-motivation, resilience, and a results-driven mindset
  • Comfort working autonomously in a boutique, remote-first environment
  • UK residency and willingness to travel for client meetings and team sessions

  • 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays and your birthday off
  • Company pension scheme
  • Opportunities for career development and leadership within the firm
  • A collaborative, high-integrity culture focused on doing what’s best—not what’s easiest
Application Process

CJPI’s selection process is designed to be thorough and inclusive:

  • Initial application review
  • Exploratory conversation with the Managing Director
  • Psychometric assessment
  • Final interview with the Managing Director and Leadership Advisory Director
