Job Description
Wood Process & Energy is seeking an experienced Construction Manager with multi-disciplinary experience and a proven track record in overseeing and coordinating on‑site activities, ensuring project scope is completed on time, within budget, and according to quality and safety standards for a high‑profile client.
Demonstrable knowledge and experience in Construction projects across constructability, construction execution, CDM, development of construction strategies, input to planning.
The role will be based on the client site in Ayrshire, Southwest Scotland. A background in Agricultural, Pharmaceuticals, Batch Chemical production facilities or similar process industry experience would be advantageous. This role would be supporting the portfolio of Capital Projects and delivery of equipment and facilities on a site undergoing consistent and varied investment.

As the Construction Manager, you will develop project execution strategies, path of construction and the supporting project construction documentation and deliverables, including Constructability Reviews, Construction Methodologies and associated Risk Assessment or HAZCON. Support and ensure collaboration with discipline managers and interfaces with other departments. Support estimating and development of robust project estimates.
Assure the quality and integrity of each project, bringing projects in on schedule and within budget. You will use client and in-house construction management procedures, provide continuity and consistency of construction management with quality assurance and reliable controls.
Also responsible for execution of the work in accordance with the quality standards and requirements specified for the project. You will manage and control construction cost and schedule of onsite construction, managing installation, commissioning and completions activities for hardware, plant and equipment.
Overseeing total field construction effort to ensure large projects or several smaller projects are constructed in accordance with design, budget, and schedule.
- Accountable for managing, supervising, organising and coordinating site construction teams to provide high quality support in accordance with the Contract
- Works with engineering in the design phases to influence the design for optimum
- Executing assigned scopes of work in a timely manner and within Key Performance Indicator (KPI) schedules
- Responsible for execution of the work in accordance with the quality standards and requirements specified for the project
- Managing and leading all construction reports to ensure delivery against milestones and Key Performance Indicators (KPI's)
- Reviewing planned activities for constructability, providing accurate feedback and direction
- Providing technical expertise and guidance on all construction related activities
- Performance reporting to senior management, ability to monitor work progress and report against the plan
