KS2 Primary Teacher

Academics is recruiting a committed and enthusiastic KS2 Teacher to join a welcomingm primary school in Barry from January 2026. This is a full time temporary role and offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to a supportive school community that values high quality teaching and positive relationships with pupils.

The successful candidate will deliver engaging lessons across KS2, support pupils' academic progress and promote a positive learning environment.

Role Responsibilities:

* Planning and delivering high quality lessons in line with the KS2 curriculum

* Assessing and monitoring pupils' progress and adapting teaching accordingly

* Creating a supportive and stimulating classroom environment

* Working closely with teaching assistants and colleagues across the school

* Maintaining strong communication with pupils, staff, and parents

* Promoting positive behaviour and encouraging pupil engagement

Minimum Requirements:

* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)

* Experience teaching within a primary school setting, ideally KS2

* Strong understanding of the national curriculum and effective teaching strategies

* Ability to manage behaviour positively and consistently

* Excellent communication, organisational skills, and a collaborative approach

* Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)

* EWC registration (or willingness to register)
