KS2 Primary Teacher; Temporary

Position: KS2 Primary Teacher (Temporary)
Academics is a teaching supply agency working closely with Primary and Secondary schools across South Wales.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a committed and enthusiastic teacher with a passion for upper Key Stage 2. You will be responsible for delivering engaging and effective lessons to a Year 6 class, with a particular focus on raising attainment in literacy.

Key Responsibilities:

Plan and deliver creative and structured lessons for Year 6 pupils

Support pupils in achieving literacy targets and preparing for end-of-year assessments

Monitor and assess pupil progress

Create a safe, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment

Collaborate effectively with other teaching staff and leadership teams

Minimum Requirements:

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)

Enhanced DBS (on the Update Service or willing to apply)

Previous experience teaching Key Stage 2, ideally Year 6

Proven strength in delivering literacy at KS2 level

Strong knowledge of the Key Stage 2 curriculum
