** TEACHER OF ALN/NURTURE GROUP
** Salary:

** April 2026 for approx 1 year maternity leave
** Applications are invited from primary or secondary trained teachers, NQTs and teachers with QTS
** The Governors of Gowerton School are looking for an inspirational, innovative and highly motivated teacher to join the ALN department. The candidate will need to have the expertise and experience to work with small groups of pupils with a range of social, emotional and behavioural needs.
These small groups of pupils are taught, using a hybrid model, where core learning takes place in the same teaching room, alongside attendance at timetabled specialist subjects in other teaching areas of the school.
The successful candidate will be:
• Experienced in working with pupils with Additional Learning Needs.
• Will be confident in differentiating to meet the individual needs of all learners.
• Creative, dynamic and flexible to ensure a fun and engaging environment to enable pupils to make progress
• Able to work as part of a team to achieve the best for all pupils.
• IT proficient
• Confident in classroom management and have excellent communication skills.
The closing date for applications is 12 midday, Sunday 22nd February 2026.It is proposed that interviews will take place on Friday 27th February 2026.The successful candidate will be required to commence on 13th April 2026.All applicants should be aware that the successful applicant will be asked to apply for an enhanced DBS Disclosure and will be subject to the new Vetting and Barring legislation as it is introduced.
