Qualified Teacher - Children's Residential Education (EBD)
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a qualified teacher to join a leading specialist provider in delivering bespoke education within a children's residential setting. This role is ideal for educators seeking a rewarding alternative to traditional classrooms, focusing on small group teaching and relationship-based, trauma-informed education for children with Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties (EBD). The qualified teacher will work in a supportive environment, fostering emotional regulation and personal growth for two boys aged 10‑11, in a flexible and creative setting that values innovation and child‑centred approaches.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver tailored, trauma‑informed education to children with EBD in a residential setting
- Foster emotional regulation and social development through relationship‑based teaching
- Create engaging, flexible learning experiences outside traditional classroom environments
- Support the emotional and behavioural needs of children aged 10‑11 in a small group setting
- Collaborate with colleagues and caregivers to ensure a holistic approach to each child's development
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification
- Passionate about working with children with EBD or SEMH needs
- Creative, adaptable, and flexible teaching approach
- Knowledge or interest in trauma‑informed practice
- Experience in alternative provision, SEN, EBD, SEMH, PRUs, or residential settings is desirable but not essential
