I am helping a large well known primary school based in the heart of Barry, find their next new outstanding Teaching Assistant to start April 2026 until the end of the academic year 2026. The role will be full time Monday to Friday, and you will work the hours of (Apply online only) term time only. The pay will be £93 per day, and you will be given half an hour lunch per day.
The role itself will be floating across the school, and supporting different classrooms / pupils throughout the week depending on where the school has absence / or where additional support is needed. Therefore, they are ideally looking for someone who is happy to cover classes from Early Years right up to Year
6. There could also be a need for you to support the children within the school who require extra support on a one to one basis if you are willing. These children may have needs such as;
-Autism / Aspergus
-ADHE
-SEMH / Trauma & Neglect
so if you have experience if any of these categories that would be highly advantageous!
The school is looking for enthusiastic and committed educators who are passionate about supporting children’s learning and development. They value Teaching Assistants who are proactive & hands-on, and eager to engage fully in classroom life and school activities, not just stand at the back of a classroom.
A positive attitude, an open-minded approach, and the ability to create a fun and engaging environment is vital. As a large and collaborative setting, they particularly value team players with strong communication skills, ensuring effective coordination across classes and departments to deliver the very best learning experience for every child.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
