Laidlaw Scholars Tutor Programme
The Laidlaw Foundation, in conjunction with the Laidlaw Schools Trust and The Tutors' Association, announces the new Scholars Tutor Programme. The programme offers scholars the chance to undertake paid tuition work with children and young people, making a significant impact on their education and life chances while receiving industry‑leading training and qualification from The Tutors' Association.
Ideal Candidates- Have a real and demonstrable impact on children and young people.
- Acquire valuable teaching/tuition experience with online training and qualifications from The Tutors' Association – the only national professional body representing the tuition sector.
- Receive mentoring and support from an experienced tutor/teacher.
- Develop important transferable skills valued by academic institutions and employers in education and beyond.
- Earn an hourly rate of £15 delivering online tuition.
Scholars will provide tuition at the primary level (English and Maths) and secondary level (Maths, Sciences, French and Geography). Applicants should commit to a minimum of 16 hours of tuition in March and April 2022, with the possibility of delivering additional tuition or continuing beyond April.
Eligibility and ApplicationPlaces are limited and the programme is open only to Laidlaw Scholars studying in the UK and Ireland. The Final date to receive applications is 4pm on Monday the 31st of January. Applications must include a CV and cover letter; applications without a cover letter will not be considered.
