SEMH / ALN Learning Support Assistants (FE / College) - Vale of Glamorgan September Start Are you passionate about supporting young people with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs or Additional Learning Needs (ALN)? Would you like to make a real difference in further education (FE) and college settings while developing your professional skills?

We are recruiting SEMH / ALN Learning Support Assistants for September starts within FE colleges and post-16 provisions across the Vale of Glamorgan and surrounding areas. Long-term, full-time roles are available, alongside flexible day-to-day supply opportunities.

Opportunities across colleges in the Vale of Glamorgan and surrounding areas

Competitive rate of pay - £16.11 per hour Provide 1:1 and small-group support for learners with SEMH and ALN needs

Support learners with ASD, ADHD, anxiety, and emotional or behavioural regulation needs

Assist with behaviour management and positive de-escalation strategies

Work closely with ALNCOs, pastoral/support teams and teaching staff

Support learners within mainstream vocational and academic classes, as well as specialist provisions

Promote independence, employability skills and preparation for adulthood

Requirements Experience supporting young people or adults with SEMH, ALN or behaviour needs(ideally within FE, post-16 or college settings)
Education Workforce Council (EWC) registration

Strong communication, relationship-building and behaviour management skills
