Teacher Active is proud to be working with a well‑established comprehensive school in Barry, seeking an experienced Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to join their dedicated Additional Learning Needs team within the school's specialist Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) Base
.

Working within the school's specialist ASD Base, you will:

• Support pupils with Autism Spectrum Disorder to access learning and achieve their individual goals.
• Provide tailored support on a 1:1 basis and in small groups.
• Promote independence, communication and social development.
• Work closely with teaching staff and the school's ALN team to implement personalised support strategies.
• Help create a calm, structured and positive learning environment.

To be successful in this role, you'll need:

• Previous experience working within an educational setting.
• Experience supporting children or young people with Additional Learning Needs, particularly Autism, is highly desirable.
• A patient, empathetic and proactive approach.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• A genuine passion for helping young people succeed.

• A secure long‑term placement within a fantastic comprehensive school.
