Evolito develops and manufactures class-leading, lightweight, high-power, and high-torque-density electric propulsion systems for a range of aerospace markets, including EVTOL, Unmanned Aerial Vehicles and General Aviation.
As well as ultra-high performance, low-weight electric motors and controllers, Evolito specialises in high integrity, bespoke battery systems for the aerospace and defence markets. The team is scaling rapidly and has ambitious growth plans over the next twelve to eighteen months.
As part of our current high‑growth phase, we are seeking a Quality Engineer to support our Quality team. In this role, you will act as a quality focal point for project teams to ensure compliance to business processes and regulatory requirements.
* Key responsibilities will include:
** Supporting the development and implementation of business processes and systems in compliance with AS9100 and regulatory requirements
* Acting as the Quality focal on development projects
* Driving APQP activities
* Drive for FAIR and PPAP completion
* Acting as a business management system auditor
* Taking part in customer/supplier visits and audits as required
* Working with process owners to drive closure of non-conformances
* Leading internal and external investigations to identify root cause and corrective actions
* Involvement in change management and design for assembly/manufacture
* Support in the development and deployment of quality objectives.
* Skills and experience required:
** Previous proven experience within a Quality Engineering role, ideally within aerospace
* Familiar with CAA regulations Part
21G and Part
21J
* Knowledge of AS9100 and Process Auditing, AS9100 Lead audit preferable
* Experience with Quality Improvement Programmes, Pareto, PFMEA, 5s, 6 Sigma or similar continuous improvement tools
* Experience with internal and external audits
* Experienced in the use of APQP tools and techniques, familiarity with AS9145 preferred
* Experienced in the use of statistical analysis, process capability and problem resolution tools (8D, 5 Why, 6 Sigma etc.) and techniques
* A team player with the ability to work under own initiative
* Ability to influence others
* A positive “can-do” attitude
* A flexible approach to work
* Ability to work at pace in a multi-project environment
* Strong written and verbal communication skills
* Full UK driver’s license.
