Bridgestone Group is partnering with a leading manufacturer based in South Wales to hire a Senior Mechanical Engineer. The role involves ensuring equipment reliability and operational efficiency in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment. The successful candidate will lead maintenance activities, drive continuous improvement, and serve as the primary escalation point for technical issues.

• Oversee maintenance activities and ensure asset health
• Develop and implement maintenance strategies to minimise downtime
• Contribute to process optimisation and proactive maintenance routines
• Liaise with cross‑functional teams to integrate predictive maintenance insights
• Troubleshoot complex engineering issues and lead root cause analysis
• Promote compliance with QHSE policies and standards
• Coach and mentor technicians to build a proactive maintenance culture

Day Shift, Monday to Friday

• Strong mechanical engineering background with experience in manufacturing or industrial environments
• Proven ability to lead maintenance operations and drive improvements
• Hands‑on problem‑solving approach and excellent communication skills
• Familiarity with KPIs such as MTBF, MTTR, and preventative maintenance compliance
• Knowledge of EAM systems and predictive maintenance techniques
